HOUSTON (AP) Jake Blumrick threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and Stephen F. Austin won for the first time in four weeks, beating Houston Baptist 42-14 in Southland Conference action on Saturday night.
Blumrick accounted for three of SFA's last four scores as the Lumberjacks won the second half 28-7, after leading 14-7 at the break.
Thomas Hutchings ran it in for SFA's first two scores. Blumrick hit Josh McGowen on a 61-yard scoring strike early in the third and found Tamrick Pace open over the middle from the 24 for a 28-7 lead late in the third. Blumrick ran it in from the 6-yard line and Jamall Shaw scored from the 1 to finish the scoring for SFA (2-5, 2-4).
